This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the HumanCloud Data Vault, Digital ID services, and associated mobile applications (the "User Services").
1. Your Data Vault & Identity
- 1.1 Self-Sovereignty. You own your Data Vault. HumanCloud provides the technology to host, encrypt, and manage it, but we do not claim ownership of the personal data inside it.
- 1.2 Recovery Keys. IMPORTANT: Your Data Vault is secured by cryptographic keys that only you hold. If you lose your recovery keys, HumanCloud cannot recover your data. We do not store a backup of your private keys.
- 1.3 Access. You control who accesses your Data Vault. HumanCloud will not access your unencrypted data without your explicit consent or unless required by law.
2. Acceptable Use
- You agree not to use your Digital ID to impersonate others, commit fraud, or store illegal content (as defined in our [Acceptable Use Policy](/legal/acceptable-use-policy)).
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Digital ID.
3. Privacy & Data Processing
- 3.1 How We Process Data. Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
- 3.2 Network Interactions. When you use your Digital ID to interact with third-party applications (e.g., a Developer's app built on HumanCloud), you are sharing data with them, not just us. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies of those third-party apps.
4. Service Tiers & Payments
- 4.1 Free Tier. Basic Digital ID services are provided free of charge.
- 4.2 Premium Features. Advanced storage or recovery features may require a subscription. Refer to standard payment terms if applicable.
5. Termination
- 5.1 By You. You may delete your Data Vault at any time. Once deleted, your data is cryptographically erased and cannot be recovered.
- 5.2 By Us. We may suspend your access if you violate the Acceptable Use Policy.

THE USER SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." HUMANCLOUD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF DATA RESULTING FROM LOST KEYS OR DEVICE FAILURE.
